Cassandra Walters
Cass Walters is an experienced educational leader with a lifelong commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
With more than 30 years’ experience in Victorian secondary education, including over 20 years in principal class roles, Cass has led schools with a strong focus on ensuring students transition successfully into sustainable pathways beyond school.
Having worked across five schools during her career, she brings broad leadership experience in strategic planning, student engagement and pathway development.
Cass played a key role in establishing the Ovens Murray VET Cluster, a collaborative initiative that expands vocational education opportunities for students across the region, and currently serves as its Chairperson.
She is currently the Principal of Rutherglen High School, where she continues to work with staff, students and the wider community to support high-quality learning and post-school opportunities for all students.
