Ovens Murray VET Cluster Coordinator
We have an exciting new role for a VET Cluster Coordinator position, working with secondary schools across the Ovens Murray, based in either Wodonga or Wangaratta (as preferred by the successful applicant).

Employment Type: Full-Time (0.8 – 1.0)
Remuneration: Annual base salary range applicable at EFT 1.0 is $85,120.36 – $97,377.80
(Pro-rata salary at 0.8 EFT available) SCHADS AWARD LEVEL 4.1 – 5.1 depending on skills & experience
Organisation: North East Local Learning and Employment Network (NELLEN) & NE Tracks Local Learning and Employment Network (NE Tracks LLEN)
This position will be the first VET Cluster Coordinator for the newly formed Cluster Network of LLENs for the Ovens Murray region.
Covering the Local Government Areas of Towong, Alpine, Indigo, Wodonga, Wangaratta, Benalla, and Mansfield, you will manage the day-to-day operations and support school-based VET Co-ordinators to increase access to VET for students, working alongside Ovens Murray LLENs.
The Role
As the Ovens Murray VET Cluster Coordinator, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping and delivering the Vocational Education and Training Delivered to School Students (VDSS) experience within the Ovens Murray region. Working closely with schools, TAFEs, and RTOs, you will ensure that young people have access to diverse, high-quality VET pathways.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence strategic planning, streamline systems, and foster meaningful collaboration between education providers, all while helping students reach their full potential.
What You Will Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Cluster’s Daily Operations: Oversee the operational management of the Ovens Murray VET Cluster, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality VDSS programs.
- Drive Program Innovation: Identify, plan, and develop new VET courses, products, and services that broaden young people’s options and enhance their learning outcomes.
- Facilitate Provider Engagement: Support schools in negotiating VET provision with TAFEs and RTOs, ensuring clear communication, strong partnerships, and the best possible experience for students.
- Streamline Administration: Simplify and standardise the VDSS administrative requirements to support school staff, reducing complexity and improving efficiency.
- Monitor and Improve Performance: Lead self-audits and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement, develop strategic solutions, and elevate the overall student experience.
- Build Staff Capability: Provide technical advice, training, and professional development opportunities for school-based VET Coordinators to ensure they’re equipped to guide students effectively.
- Manage Software Solutions: Oversee the use of software tools that facilitate applications, enrolments, attendance, and reporting, while using data insights to identify trends and address emerging needs.
- Organise Key Events: Coordinate orientation programs, awards nights, and other Cluster activities that celebrate student achievements and highlight future opportunities.
- Coordinate Transport Logistics: Plan and manage student transport arrangements, ensuring safe, reliable, and well-structured travel between schools and providers.
- Ensure Privacy & Support: Facilitate secure information sharing and foster support for students with additional learning needs in compliance with privacy requirements.
- Explore New Models: Investigate innovative subcluster structures, collaborative school-to-school models, and alternate delivery methods to enhance VDSS accessibility.
