Young people across North East Victoria can now explore a meaningful and rewarding career path in Early Childhood Education — thanks to a brand-new video series launched by NELLEN and NE Tracks LLEN for the Department of Education.
The seven-part video series, co-designed with local educators and produced in collaboration with regional early childhood services, brings real voices and authentic experiences to the screen. Through interviews, Q&As, and even a bloopers reel, the series is designed to give young people aged 15–25 an honest and engaging look into the world of early childhood education and care (ECEC).
From practical advice on how to get started, to personal stories of career growth, joy, and even chaos in the classroom, the series breaks down common myths about the industry and shows the diverse pathways available — including school-based traineeships, Certificate III or Diploma-level study, and long-term career progression.
“We wanted this series to be genuine, accessible, and fun — something that could speak directly to young people who might never have considered ECE as a serious career option,” said Lisa Gavel, School to Work Officer at NELLEN.
Each short-form video is tailored to be shared across social platforms like Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and is backed by a new landing page where young people can learn more, explore pathways, and connect with their local LLEN team for support.
