Your Rights @ Work

Understanding Your Rights and Responsibilities at Work

Once you’ve started work, what else do you need to know?

When you’re at work, you have certain rights that should be looked after. Your boss has to make sure you’re safe and treated fairly. These rights are part of something called the National Employment Standards.

These rules cover stuff like:

  • Holidays and days off
  • Minimum entitlements for employees
  • and much more..

But remember, if you work part-time or full-time, you get more of these perks than if you’re a casual worker.

Got a Problem at Work?

If you think your boss isn’t being fair, you’re not getting the right pay, or you don’t feel safe, don’t worry! There are places to go for help.
