The NELLEN board is comprised of representatives from schools, TAFEs, universities, and other education and training organisations, as well as trade unions, businesses & industry bodies, local, state & Commonwealth government agencies, and community members.

School-to-Work Liaison Officer

Covering Alpine, Indigo, Towong shires, and the City of Wodonga, we are at the forefront of enhancing participation, engagement, attainment, and successful transitions for secondary school-aged young people.

We are excited to announce an opening for a School-to-Work Liaison Officer. This part-time, on-site position is based in the vibrant community of Wodonga, Victoria. As a vital member of our team, you’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between education providers, businesses, community groups, and government organisations.

The Role

Your work will directly influence the lives of young people, guiding them towards meaningful employment and further education opportunities.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate the development of partnerships that enhance student transition into work and further study.
  • Collaborate with employers, schools, and other stakeholders to secure Structured Workplace Learning opportunities.
  • Utilise your knowledge of the local job market and education sector to create impactful career pathways.
  • Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, bringing together community efforts to support our youth.
  • Represent NELLEN in various networks, promoting our mission and the benefits of school-based apprenticeships and traineeships.

Who You Are

  • A motivated individual with a deep understanding of the education and employment landscape.
  • Experienced in managing projects that involve a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Equipped with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable about career development and pathways.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
